Connect to Classroom Displays

Note *Please do not take remotes out of classrooms if you move rooms. Each remote is only for the display it came with and will not work on another. *

Wireless Connections:

Please make sure you are connecting to the right display (should be displayed on the right/top right of your display screen when you open Airplay/Screen Share) before screen mirroring.

  • Connect Wirelessly to MacBooks: Start a casting session on the panel (there are various options between brands but most will be called airplay/Screen casting on your display) Open the Screen Mirroring Option from the menu bar > select your displays name (the name should be displayed on the right of the Classroom display screen) > if asked for a code, enter the numerical code.

  • Connect Wirelessly to iPads: Start a casting session on the panel which will generate a 6 digit code. Open the Screen Mirroring Option and enter the code.

Newline Displays - Wireless Connection Option 2:

For Newline classroom displays you can also use the Display Note App

  • Display Note for MacBooks: go to https://join-montage.displaynote.com/* to connect wirelessly over the web.

  • Display Note for iPads: (already pushed to all iPads)

Enter your session Id and name and hit connect and choose which screen you would like to display and screen share.

Troubleshooting Classroom Displays

Reboot Both Devices

  • Restart the MacBook or iPad.

  • Power cycle the display or TV (turn it off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on).

AirPlay Troubleshooting on macOS/iOS

  • MacBook: Click the AirPlay icon in the menu bar and select the desired display. If the icon is missing, go to System Preferences > Displays and check the "Show mirroring options in the menu bar when available" box.

  • iPad: Open Control Center (swipe down from the top-right corner) and tap Screen Mirroring, then select the display.

Test With Another Device

  • If possible, try AirPlaying from a different MacBook/iPad to see if the issue is with the original device.

Contact Support

  • If none of the above steps work, please put in a Helpdesk ticket.
