Avery County Little League will be signing up for the 2022/23 baseball and softball season on Saturday, March 4th and Saturday, March 18th in the lower level of the Avery County Library (these are the final dates for registration). Cost is $60 per player and we serve boys and girls ages 4 to 12. For more information please follow the Avery County Little League Facebook page or call 828 387-5236

Thank you to Lees McRae Theater department in the cast of the upcoming play James and the Giant Peach. These actors came by school to talk to students about the upcoming play next week that they will attend! We love our arts partners!
We are still selling candy grams tomorrow! All grams will be delivered tomorrow as well. They are 1.00 each. All proceeds will go to one of our BES families who experienced an unexpected loss. Thank you for rallying behind our people!!
Due to declining conditions and the overnight forecast, the Avery County School System will be CLOSED tomorrow, Monday, February 13, 2023 with an OPTIONAL TEACHER WORKDAY.
The Chaotic Cafe will be selling Valentine Candy Grams this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning for $1.00 each. The Cafe will deliver purchased cards on Valentine's Day. If a student wishes to purchase candy grams for parents/grandparents/caregivers etc., they will be given to students on Valentine's day to take home and deliver.
