The kinder field trip to Barter Theater has been cancelled for tomorrow. They will now go to a show in April. Again- the trip tomorrow to Barter has been cancelled.
Altruismo kids will meet afterschool tomorrow until 4pm for our Christmas get together in the library. Snacks, completion of our service project, and holiday fun.
The house of Isibindi event scheduled for this Thursday has been cancelled. This will be rescheduled after the holiday break.
Tomorrow we are combining PJ day and Homemade Christmas hat day for spirit week! The Christmas store will start tomorrow as well. Students may shop before school.

Banner Elk School will present The Lion King tomorrow night at 6:30pm. 4/5 grade students should arrive at 4:45. PreK- 3rd grade students should arrive at 5:45. The show will start promptly at 6:30. Admission is free- but donations to our arts department will be greatly appreciated.

The ACS system put out a text and call at 5am. FROM: Avery CS: Good morning Avery County Schools. With plummeting temperatures and currently wet roads there is the likelihood for black ice this morning. Therefore we will conduct a two hour delay today, Monday, November 27th.
Parents- If you did not get this message from them please email and let the school know.
Please remember to bring in items for the toy drive and the Christmas store this week! The house with them most items will win 25 points for their house.
We are in need of items for our Christmas Store. Please send in any household items- ornaments- or items that are in good condition to be sold at our store.
Reveur is hosting a used toy drive. Please send in toys for this competition that are not broken or have lost pieces. You can also send in new stuffed animals to be donated to the children's hospital in Johnson City.
School will dismiss tomorrow (11/9) at 11:45am. There will be no after school.
On Friday- 11/10 school will be closed for faculty and students.
