In Sports and Event Marketing 1 WE TALK SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT. You will learn the basics of what it takes to PLAN, ORGANIZE, and HOLD an event of your choosing. Your Project Event is your Final Exam - so no 100 Question Exams at the end of the semester.

  • How To Obtain Sponsorships – Endorsement

  • Licensing – Trademarks - Logos

  • Promotions – Different Types Of Ads and  Ad Media

    • Semester: Fall

Hospitality and Tourism is a huge part of the Economy in the High Country. In this class we will discuss the different areas that one can find a career in in Hospitality, and how to be successful in the Hospitality and Tourism field - specifically going into:

  • Identify career opportunities in the hospitality and tourism industry - hospitality is more than just hotels

  • Discuss the different types of “hospitality fields” and how they are important in society

  • The different departments in hospitality, how those departments in a business relate and work with one another

  • How important the hospitality industry is to the local economy

  • Business Forecasting to ,make sure you are capable as a business in handling the customers you will encounter at certain times of the year

  • Using that forecasting to budget for the correct amount of employees need and products need to meet your customers needs

  • What makes people travel, what motivates them to visit your establishment over others

  • Utilize customer service to encourage customers to visit your business - area over other options they may have - and handling customer complaints

  • Safety laws and regulations you will encounter in the industry
